What is the problem? It shows up for me.
Reupload your captcha_fonts folder and it's contents in binary mode. Ask your host if you're unsure on how to do this.
Also, can't see why this is in the 1.2 forum, moved to 1.4....

I have the same problem, I reuploaded the captcha_fonts folder in binary mod, even chmoded the font files to 777, still no captcha. Note that my captcha worked yesterday (after installing the board), and I just noticed it stopped working, I don't know precisely after what action it stopped working (I only changed some settings, added a theme which I eventually disabled, and added the MyBB Registration Checkboxes plugin).
Edit: problem solved by deactivating MyBB Registration Checkboxes plugin
