Hello I'm planning to change the background color and font color of post # and post date on the top of the post My problem is where to change it.

It uses the .tcat class in global.css. Remember though that if you change this class, it will effect every other location it's used, so you may want to make a new class and make that row with the date and post # use the new class.
Matt do you know where I can find global.css? and how about the member's name, no. of post and joined date row is it easy to change?
ACP > Templates & Style > **choose theme** > global.css.... and the other bit is exactly the same but the .trow1 class; again, you may want to make a new class and make it use the new one so that it doesn't change every other use of .trow1
