Alot of forum when you post

http://community.mybboard.net/thread-502...#pid352792

turns into the thread name
You mean the url turns into the thread title? That's just version friendly URLs. You can try one of the SEO plugins I believe they both make the change you want.

I know it does. But most other forums have that as a basic feature.

Where are you getting that idea from that thread? Nowhere does it say anything about 1.6.
The way I understand the OP, what he wants is:

if you post a link like http://... to a thread of your own forum, it should be automatically replaced with [ url=http://...]Title of thread[ /url], so it doesn't look like http:// at all but just shows the title itself as a link. The SEO plugins don't do that.

A similar feature offered by some forums is doing this for any link by fetching their <title> tag to display instead of the http://... - but doing that has a lot of downsides too.

I do, for some reason, remember something about SEO and 1.6, and thus assumed it was that thread. Apparently, I am wrong. Of course, I didn't actually read the thread. That is the main reason my statement was put into questionable context.
Oh in the case that this isn't a feature, i think it should be! many older softwares do this on there own. wBB2x even does and thats been out of use for.... 05-06.....
Bump this is a good idea!
