When you go to set the permissions to a certain user group when creating or editing a forum, it will allow you to set them. After you click save, it goes right back to default. It also will still allow a user of a disallowed group to view the forum in general. For instance, user A is a "VIP" and User B is a "Member". You set the forum so only VIP can see it. Members can see it, and do all the regular functions as if it was a regular forum. It does the same with categories. I have categories I want no one to see but staff members.
Is there a way to fix this? Am I doing something wrong? Or is it a bug?

Are you setting permissions for the hidden forums and unticking the option to use the group defaults?? Can your printscreen the setup?? The permissions work OK for everyone else, you might just be missing something.
