No matter what theme I download, which I then go to upload, I get the error:
The following errors were encountered:
* MyBB could not find the theme with the file you uploaded. Please check the file is the correct and is not corrupt.



Can you help me please?

Not entirely sure the fix but i once had this problem too, Try open up the themes .xml in anythin other than notepad try notepad2 and add either </theme> at the very bottom if it is missing or might just be the >, This might have been fixed though in 1.4.6.

btw what themes have you tried uploading?

Yeah, please post a copy of the theme XML (as long as you're permitted) so we can examine the issue.

CHMOD ./uploads to 777

Also, CHMOD ./cache and ./cache/themes to 777.
