I honestly have no idea what I'm doing. I downloaded the zip file and I'm basically stuck there. I tried downloading the php program and the mql or whatever but I really don't know what I'm doing. So, if there is a possibility that there's even more of a dumbed down version of the wiki version that would be great. I'm new to this whole hosting a forum and such and I'm sure this is suppose to be simple but I can't grasp it.

First things first. Do you have a host are are you trying to use your own PC to host the forums?
I'd suggest a proper host, but if you just want to test things out and aren't planning it to be 'live' just yet then on your own PC would be just fine for the time being.
I'll use whatever is the best host.

I'm making the forum for a website that already has a domain. Isn't that basically the host?
A domain isn't a host, no, a host is webspace where you upload files; is the website being hosted anywhere??
If the the domain is already live and has a host then yes.
