Download the full 1.4.7 package, upload it all, except settings.php, then go to ./install/upgrade.php, choose 1.4.4 from the lsit, run through the wizard. Remember to make a database backup first.

so replace it all except setting PHP?

Yes, upload the entire package, overwriting the old versions of the files. Have you made any edits to any files??
2009-06-18, 01:31 PM
yes.. i change the themes and already add any plugin

That isn't editing files, that's adding new ones.... you won't need to make a note of any changes you've made then, upload all the new files and run the upgrade script and it should be OK.

ooo.. so the plugin not error? and template? or logo?

Not really sure what you're saying now. They won't cause any errors, no. You will have to revert some templates to default after you upgrade, read the upgrade announcements to see which ones you need to revert.

Hello Matt,
I'm trying to do the same thing - but think of me as belonging to the remedial class.

I've downloaded the upgrade files. I have the forum showing in FileZilla. I thought I had replaced the "Documentation" and "Upload" folders, leaving the "Forum" folder untouched. But when I go back to the forum, it's still telling me I have 1.4.4.
I realise from your answer above that I need to do more but I don't know what you mean by "Go to /install/upgrade.php". Where do I do this from?
My host is UnlimitedMB and my forum is [email protected].

@NRIOPixie, you should overwrite your forum files with those from the ''upload'' package inside the download mybb package, minus those files that MAtt mentioned above which hold the db info, those you shouldn''t overwrite. After you do that, call the upgrade.php file in your browser and follow the instructions given several posts above and you should be all set.
