Hello, I noticed that I accidently switched "Make posts in this forum count towards user post counts" to no and so post counts were not increased when posting items to my forums. After a day or two I noticed and switched it back to yes and now I'm wondering how I would go about getting those posts added to the users totle post count? Any ideas?

Try the "Recount stats" option in the admin cp. Thats the only thing i can think of that might do it. I'll look into it.

I've already tried to do that with no luck. I tried recatching the cache as well. Any other ideas?

Upload this plugin to inc/plugins and activate it.

It should recount each user's post count (except the ones in non-post-counting forums)
