How can I hide a forum from viewing from certain usergroups but allow them to post new threads? I want to have a feedback form, where a new thread template is changed to a custom layout but still posts a new thread. But when I do it as a guest, it asks me to log in.

So to sum it up...
- I want to hide a forum from view
- I want to allow new threads in the hidden forum
- When I uncheck "View" but check "Allow new threads" in forum permissions it doesn't work

I don't think you can do anything in it if the Can View is unticked... what about if they go to ./newthread.php?fix=X, where X is the ID of the forum...??

What does ?fix mean? Do you mean ?fid (forum ID?).

If it's not possible can it be in the future?

Oh, yeah, I meant fid=X, sorry. I don't think this would be a default feature as I'm not really sure if many people would have a sue for it, but you could request a plugin... I'll play around with the permissions later and see if it can be done first, though.
