Why does a mass mail with only 11 recipients queue for 5mins when I hit deliver immediately?

IIRC it always queues until the mail task is next set to run. So, at the time you set it up, the mass mail task was due to run in 5 minutes. You can run the task manually if you want to send the mail straight away. If you set to deliver on a specific date, it'll wait until then, if you choose to deliver immediately, it means the next time the task runs.
