After I re-activated all my plugins post upgrade. I still have the post count problem I guess that is not the end of the world but even after I use recount it remains the same.
I cleared the cache.. and the thread and post count is way off.
I would like to know what is wrong with my code here that it will not display an image.. just a link on the forum. It is driving me nuts!!!!

Yes of course but unfortunately I have everything hidden from guests aside from the guest section. But you can see what you need to and if not then just reg. and pm me and I can delete your ID.
The image is in the proper folder within the skin that is showing . In toplinks.. and also made a .gif of the same and placed that in toplinks on the root . The link appears when you put your cursor next to the help button.It does go to the games site that I am working on.
As for the post and thread counts it is a little less than 1/2 that shows.

And you've called the image gamesfolder.png but you've put gamefolder.png in the image source...

But I only have this one forum... not any others.. and yes I did see that and repaired it with the gmaesfolder. The icon shows but no writing under it to describe the link .. It's all good..
Thank you... but I wonder if maybe the when I converted the forum if I had post count on there .. it's too late now I have deleted the database and all for the previous forum.
No what I mean is is postcount turned on for all forums on this installation. Like WebXForum Cafe, Photo Album, etc etc. If postcount is turned off in these forums, the post count won't go up...
Oh My Matt I have a serious question .. I think I installed the entire thing incorrect...

When I installed mybb I made a new database and installed it in there.. I think that was correct.
Now..
I had the database from my IPB forum separate.. and then merged the mybbb and IPB 2.3 using that separate database. It is still up on the cpanel and I did not know if I can delete it since the mybb database is pretty small in comparison.
Is that correct?
Because for some reason I am getting mirrored posts. Some of the movies and games are mixed in forums they are not supposed to be and yet they appear in their respective places.

It is happening before my eyes the duplication of posts in incorrect sections. I made a new post in the visitiors movie section and it mirrored in the downloads section... what is going on??
I am not sure if post count is off in those forums since I don't know how to check that...
I don't really know what could be causing the mirrored posts... could you give a URL to the doubles??
You can delete the IPB database... well, make sure you have a backup of it first, never know if you'll need it again, best to be safe.
To check the post counts, go to ACP > Forums & Posts > **choose forum** > Options > Edit Forum > then scroll down and you should see an option for whether or not posts count towards the postcount, make sure that's ticked.
Okay.. so far all of them are ticked...not unticked but my problem is it is showing more than I actually have... not less. I guess it's fine because the amount of users are fine.. it is just that there is only about 4,000 posts not 7,000. I changed skins and got one from here that is working great..so it seems the skin I had up has a glitch.
Also do I need to do that to the sub forums as well or just the categories?
I really can't say what is happening but it is the same. On top of that .. the posts are being mirrored still the same exact ones every time. I am on a different skin as well.. I just don't know where to look first..
