Hello:

According to my ACP, the uploads file is not CHMODed to 777, even though my host checked and says it is. Whenever I try to upload something in a post, I get an error saying there was a problem getting the file to its destination.

Any idea what the problem could be, and how to fix it? I've already tried re-CHMODing more times than I can count. This is a problem that has followed me through multiple upgrades of MyBB.

Try a different CHMOD, like 655 or something until it works.
That's my suggestion.

Try using a different file manager to CHMOD them, then it should work.

I've tried it in multiple FTP programs, and even went into cpanel to do it. No luck =(

655 wouldn't work... try 757 and 775... but if it isn't letting you CHMOD something, there's nothing we can do about it, it's a host issue.
