Hey,

Is it possible to disable Portal page? let me know .
I won't like a portal page, instead I would be trying to put up a custom template.

Deleting would work of course, but would that affect my next board updates?!

No need to disable it, nothing links to the portal by default, so nobody will be able to find it unless they type it in.

I would like to remove it completely rather to keep it as a hideout page

You could just delete portal.php.
