Okay can you please help me. I never had this issue with my last forum but now (im running 1.4.8) im having difficulty, I don't know what went wrong.

Whenever I try to access a forum, (for example: News and Updates) it brings me to an error page. Please help.
You've enabled the MyBB SEF URLs, did you rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess before turning them on like it tells you to...??
So if i disable that, will it stop?
Well, yeah, if you turn off the SEF URLs, the URLs will be what they normally are and it'll work again, but if you want to use the SEF URLs, disabled them, rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess, and then turn them on again.
But what exactly do the SEF URL's do? I barely see a difference. And thanks.
They change:
./forumdisplay.php?fid=1 to ./forum-1.html
./showthread.php?tid=1 to ./thread-1.html
./member.php?action=profile&uid=1 to ./user-1.html
They're just a bit easier to use and easier for search engines to crawl/index.
