Lol, I know, I was just sharing a little joke we had on our forums.
A few people couldn't tell each others' sarcasm so we implemented this
Not that it's used much..

I mean, maybe you could modify it a bit to make it something harder to do than just bolding a work, such as a blinking graphic sign that displays Sarcasm on it, as it's a bit more obvious and shows that it's obviously not to be taken seriously.

I like the idea, i tend to use

Blah Blah Blahhhhh Blaaaaah /sarcasm.

As if to say /sarcasm end sarcasm.

Which is why it's better to not use sarcasm in that situation. Even if the person is confused, that's part of the point of sarcasm as well. If you don't want to confuse anyone, don't be sarcastic!
