I know many of you are Web Designers so what shopping cart software do you use for your clients?

I currently use Zen Cart but it is a little agricultural, i mean it has soooo many features but it is a bit of a pain to use.

I would prefer if it was free GNU/GPL but I don't mind if it is commercial either.
Zen Cart seems to be the most common.
I've used Zen Cart, which is good, but not the easiest to use.

Interspire Shopping Cart is by far the best admin interface, but you pay $300 and they still enforce a product limit, which immediately makes it a waste of money.

Magento is another one to take a look at, I've never used it professionally, but it is quite far advanced.
Magneto looks nice but their commercial edition is a bit steep at $8900 USD per year Toungue But their free edition looks great to.
I woiuld recommend Zen Cart for something free.

btw..I am on the contributor list for writing a plugin years ago.
Zen Cart is the best I have used Smile
I have to say http://www.prestashop.com/ looks good as well, anyone have any feedback on that?

There's not a lot of difference from there commercial version have a look at http://www.magentocommerce.com/product/f...rting/view
go though all the links on the side bar and you will see what things are for the free and what are not Smile from what i seen it looks like a very good one.

Recently I had the pleasure of using this software for a client. It's good but it is a commercial package. The code is completely open so it's not too bad to modify. It's written well. You can get a free trial to check it out.

Yeah I did see that, i'll download the all and see what i think of them on localhost.

Edit: Just for the record, I just finished a store for a client who already had a Quikstore licence so i used it and while it was easy to use i have few other good things to say. It lacked features, had a lot of bugs and IMO was poorly written considering i had to fix a few things myself manually in the source.
