I've changed it in both images/ and images/{theme} and the old one is still showing on Quick Reply.
inc/post.js and change spinner_big.gif to whatever you rename your image.
It's also in thread.js but if the image has been replaced with one of the same name and file extension it should just update... maybe it's been cached??
It seemed to be working now, despite emptying my cache before. Thanks guys.
