Is there a way to limit the text being shown in the Announcements being shown on the portal? Like limit to 300 characters or something with a "read more" link, but without losing the BB code formatting?

Well, the problem is: if you use a function to limit the text, the BB-code won't work very good if you have for example [/b] further than the 300th character. So the function should close the tags too, which might cause some problem creating it. You can't use the same as the the button to close the tags when you post because that is javascript based. I don't know if anyone wants to create it, but I can't look for it now. Maybe later.

Figured it out. I did it before, but forgot how.

I'm not worried about the BB code so much right now. Maybe later on.
