What is it really? Validation.. yeah, it's like self-explainatory but what does the team do in a validation really? Do you guys check for malicious codes or such and.. ok, I don't remember anything at all.

So that's my question, what does the team do in a plugin validation?

They probably check that it is their plugin and not someone elses for copyright reasons :p

I think it's just to check that it's not malicious.

Yes, we make sure it's not something illegal/malicious/bad.
