From what I read, it's not possible to edit a Theme / Template in MyBB 1.4 directly by modifying files, you have to go through the AdminCP.

Am I correct?
Can I ask why this decision was taken?

I thinks it's a little less efficient for doing big changes to a Theme / Template. Can I ask you guys how your are creating you themes? All by the AdminCP?
The templates are stored in the database, CSS for themes in the ./cache/themes/ folder, but you still need to edit in the ACP. You're one of the first people I know who would rather edit files than do something in the ACP... Undecided
Yes, simply for the fun of using your favorite code editor, it would nice.
But I'm still wondering, what do big Themers do ? People who have done multiple themes for MyBB, what do you do to speed up the Theme development ? DO you really create it through the AdminCP ?
