i'm, sure you wont like to have the list in you main page, as sometimes, for example take a look a Mybb today's , u will have to scroll for miles
so displaying the link at the main page will be better,
however all u need to select the place edit it's template and add this code
<a href="online.php?action=today">$lang->online_today</a>

There must be way to put them in a row and seperate them with comma like in Who's Online on the index page. So Who's Online can be generated as Who was online.
