I'm trying to set user permissions for one group to not be able to delete their posts.

Creating the user group is easy. Delete own posts is not checked. Forums are set to use group default.

But the delete button continues to show? And I can't figure out why.

Am I missing something obvious or is there some kind of known bug I should know about?

Works as anticipated for me. Have you unchecked 'Can delete own posts' and 'Can delete own threads'??

Yes definitely unchecked for sure.

And each forum has "Use Group Default" checked. Is that correct?

Yet the delete option continues to appear.

Are you sure the users in question are in the new group you added as the only group? No additional ones?

Oh I see Scoutie44. It's because they are in additional groups!!!?

Yeah, if I remember correctly, a yes overrides a no, so as long as one of their usergroups can delete posts, they'll be able to delete them no matter what the other usergroups allow.
