Like Bey Brad said - you should be able to do that in the settings:
ACP -> Configuration -> Settings -> PM On registration -> UID or something...

It's a bit odd that you asked how to do it whilst quoting the post that gave you the answer...

User ID = the user number...
Username = the user name

Example:
http://community.mybboard.net/user-21382.html

That's your profile here. Your UID = 21382.

Most admins are uid 1.
