Hey i want to have a random background. I can do this in PHP and JS.

Which is better to use. What will happen to nonjs users?

I prefer to make this kind of thing on the server side, so I'd say go for PHP

Ya go php as some people may not have java enabled . Plus doesn't slow down load times(as much either way it's minor ).

True, the PHP is easy enough What if i did this with themes?

It would increase page load Changing backgrounds on each page would be a pain for the user. I've only do that for logos and alternating images (like otaku flame's theme).

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do I add a background image altogether?
