How would I go about changing showthread.php to postname.php

There is more to it than just renaming the file, so what else do I need to edit?

I believe you can just rename it, not to sure, but if im wrong someone please correct me.

You'll also need to edit ./jscripts/general.js, the .htaccess file for the mod_rewrite rules, and it's in some templates. Bear in mind it may be linked to in some plugins, though, and you'll need to setup a redirect from showthread.php?tid=X to postname.php?tix=X so current links in search engines won't totally go to waste.
