Comments: I have found that MyBB far excels all other software like phpBB and SMF. My first ever forum ran phpBB and I hated it's design and it's template system. Then I moved to vBulletin and discovered MyBB. Any starting forums will always run MyBB, kudos to the staff for making such a good software

Comments: By far the best open source forum software available. I love the ACP and the ease of plugin coding. I used to write plugins for PHPBB (or
MODs) and they were, to be honest, a pain to write. Mybb doesn't require manual template changes when installing themes, or code edits when adding functionality.

On addition to being free, it has become dominate over many other forum management systems with its easy to use admin controls, plugin support, and so much more.
