Hey. I was wondering how I would go about adding a new link to my nav bar. Where it has search memberlist and all that I want to add some stuff.

ACP -> Templates and Style -> Templates -> Your theme -> Header Templates -> header.

In that its just the logo but it has this "<navigation>"

Sounds like you're using an Afresh theme then, you need the header_welcomeblock_member template.
