I got this idea from Tomm's thread http://community.mybboard.net/thread-55285.html.

But, would it be possible to check if the person has PMs enabled when you add them to the Recipients field? I have a feeling it may not be or it wouldn't be worth the effort of doing it. I mean even something as simple as making it work like the signup page when a field isn't correct would be great.

Yes, I was going to suggest this a while ago. Even though the PM isn't lost, I wouldn't bother writing it in the first place if I knew it couldn't be sent.

I believe the validation is done in the actual datahandler - which means you need to actually send the PM before it checks if the other user has PMs enabled.

Although it's a good idea to check when you visit the page...
