This would be great, but I wouldn't count on it. MyBB is seriously lacking when it comes to mods and mod developers.
If VideoLink is a FREE plugin, could anyone upload it to some file hosting?

Excuse me, please. The plugin is called Videolnk. And it's no more compatible with MyBB version 1.6 which has its own video embedder which works worse than Videolnk. For example, it doesn't support playlists.
