In new version of IPB threads are impart in
GetNewPost - moves to the last unread post (not last post or first post like is in MyBB 1.4).
It's very usefull in read new posts in thread.

I have no idea what your saying at all.
MyBB does this though I think. Just click the arrow next to the thread. It will take you to the first post you haven't read.
I know what he means. Instead of going to the last pot in the thread, which may or may not have been read by you, it takes you to the last post that you haven't marked as read. AFAIK MyBB only does the former.

It sounds like he wants it to take him to the first unread post of the thread which it does. I don't see why he would want it to just take him to the last post.
Ok, so I wasn't misunderstanding then?
Basically, he wants it so that the "Latest Post" arrow doesn't take you to the latest post, but the latest post that you read.
It already does though. 'go to first unread post'...
