MyBB Community Forums

I was looking around for some good forum software and I came across myBB.

Now I want to ask a few questions:

1. Will it remain free always?
2. It's a lot similar to Invision (at least the admin panel). Is it based on IPB or at least part of it?

Nice forum. I wish I could find a converter from phpBB and I'd shift to this immediately.

1. Since the day the project started, that was one of the main goals for MyBB. So I don't think we'll be seeing a paid version of MyBB anytime soon.

2. The Admin Panel looks nothing like IPB (2.1). And, no, it's not based off of IPB. (Nor VB for what I've heard of. Unique..)

Also, I believe there is a converter for PHPbb to MyBB.

I did the conversion. I'm very pleased with myBB. I am not going to look back hence.

It's great. Saved me a lot of money which I would have otherwise spent on vBulletin. I am poor, cannot afford paid solutions!
