I'm having issues with 1.1.9 not showing video in FF or Safari, and other browsers, windows and PC.

It's playing sound but no video.

mp4 files - it should support this. I've had this problem in the past and you were kind enough to give me a fix. This was on version 1.1.7 I think. Not sure. But 1.1.9 is giving me grief and I've got a mess of know it all's telling me I have to convert all my video to FLV files to make it work. I call BS on that because they have no clue it has everything to do with a plugin.

Any clues?

My Vimeo videos won't embed anymore- why would this be happening?

The last two posts in the thread were working videos when I posted them. I thought maybe the player itself was an issue and I put the 1.1.7 player file in but there was no difference.

These are .mp4 videos hosted on that site on the server. I just entered the url for the video, worked fine. I tested by using the url for the video in a separate browser tab and it plays fine with my Quicktime.

I have .MP4 embedded and that seems to work fine. .mp4 are the two giving me grief now.

This was tested on Mac OSX and Windows 7 - both with the same results - audio and no video.
FireFox and Safari = same thing.

Any clues why it would suddenly stop playing some videos?
How hard would it be to put the old version back in?

Until 1.1.7 mp4's were played directly with Quicktime. If you want change back to it, you can try the attached plugin file. It's still 1.1.9 but .mp4 playing is back to Quicktime.

Going to check those conversion tools out. I bought one for the Mac and it totally sucks - Leawo Mac Video Converter. Stupid thing is useless.

As you can see from the quoted bits above, I've been having this issue with MP4 files from the get go with this plugin. Dylan found a work around with the Flowplayer but that now has stopped working. We fiddled with that for quite some time and got nowhere fast.

So, for anyone with a Mac who needs to convert video so it's useable on the web, I found a nice, free player that does the job nicely!

The plugin doesn't seem to work with blip.tv anymore. Any plans on fixing that?

Is there anychance to disable this plugin for shoutbox ?

How can I change the size of the video embedded, as there are only options for video size for FLV and SWF files.
