Hello,

My site is very active http://footyfansforum.co.uk

My site has been down for about a week, i have just found out that my host has terminated his server and done a runner.

My tech manager luckily got a public_html backup 4 days prior to this, but not a database backup.

But, i remember doing a setting where it takes a database backup every few hours in ACP, should these database backups be in my public_html folder somewhere?

They will be in admin/backups/.

If the backups were being done weekly, they should be in ./admin/backups

Should be in the ./admin/backups/ folder.

When he comes on i will let him no, so if this is the case, will i have to re-install MyBB then upload the backup?

I'd upload all the files, run the install script, drop all the empty tables the installer just created, import your backup, should be back as it was.

Yup, upload all your files from your backup, and then restore the database.

Was it CHModed correctly?

I dont bloody no mate, but all it has in the folder is index.html in admin/backups

chmod was set to 655, thats why they didnt save, any way to retrieve it
