i use the banned ip addresses function, and it works fine for individual address as well as the xxx.xxx.* types of ranges.
but using a * isnt all that helpful when trying to ban ranges of ip addresses. for example, i want to ban xxx.128.*.* and cant really do it with the * convention without inserting 127 different ranges (ie xxx.128.*, xxx.129.* etc). The only shortcut is to ban the entire xxx.* space, much more than i want to do.
is there a method for entering a range of addresses using the standard convention xxx.128.0.0/9 ?
if so, let me know how to do it in mybb.
if not, please move this thread to the requested features forum.
thanks,
