We have changed our domain name to a different account (on the same host). However nobody can login. We simply made a backup of our old forums files and uploaded them to the new account. However the cookie domain is the same as the old forum. I have changed it in settings.php and changed the DB details in Config.php but i cant login. We also have the portal redirect mod turned on which doesnt allow us to access the index page. It simply logs us in, shows the "You have successfully logged in" page and then redirects us to the portal and logs us out. I can change any settings in the ACP because i cant login.

Any ideas?

You may need to make the changes manually, as specified in the first post of that thread.

Ensure that your CHMOD settings are correct.

Thanks, i had already tried all of those methods. I tried deleting the sttings.php agian and it has finally worked.
