I want to change the small smilies preview box that appears when posting a message. I 'd like to change the number of columns. Can I do this in one of the templates?

Hello,

you can change this in the admin panel:

Board Settings -> Change -> Clickable Smilies and BB Code -> No. of Smilie Cols to Show
