if you have too many plugins it wont connect to the server ?
i have not added any plugins and this happened once i went up to 1.4.9 so it has nothing to do with my plugins

I have the same problam it did work at one time but did not notice untill i updated to 1.4.9 i did not check if it worked on 1.4.8 but i know it did on 1.4.7 and i have about 120 or so plugins give or take 10 and my # of plugins has not changed since 1.4.6 the only thing i did is up date the google seo 1.1.4 to 1.1.6

i had made this post fewdays earyer and it still is not working

These are all plugins from the mod database correct? If not they can't use the update feature.

Most of them are and my others are from mybb central site .. but that shouldn't mater cause the only thing i did since 1.4.8 is update to 1.4.9 and now it does not work .. so it has nothing to do with what you mentioned.
