Hello,

I'm searching if it would be possible to hook MyBB and Mailman in two directions. So, new posts from MyBB are sent to Mailman, and new mails in Mailman are included in MyBB forum in the correct thread.

The thread could be detected or using the Subject (a la Google) or using the References field from the mail.

Surprising, I have not seen this action or either commented in this MyBB Suggestions.

Has someone thought about it? Any roadmap or idea?

Yes, it is.
It's a mail list software, so it works like a forum but only using emails. Quite popular in different fields.

Well I honestly don't see this happening in the core. I mean it relies on another script and well most average users wouldn't touch it.

I think you would be better off finding a plugin developer or even making a fork that integrates them both since both are under the GPL.
