i want to cancel and remove the align buttons in my forum

I think you'd need to edit the javascript file editor.js
yeah but i want want to remove the whole align function not just the buttons
I was thinking the same thing. There's no way to deactivate certain MyCodes, and custom MyCodes are parsed after the internal ones.
So you'll have to hook parse_message_start, or newreply, newthread and editpost (not sure what would be the best place to hook in each of them).
An easier solution would be to remove the align codes with javascript when submiting the form.
