I am currently on shared hosting but that just doesn't cut it. Random slowdowns, etc. My forum had 60+ signups in the last 36 hours and i only placed the link on 2 sites. It seems to be a forum that could get successful if i go by the comments people make about my forum. So i need at least a VPS. Preferably managed. PHP and mysql. My budget is very small, but might improve a bit in the coming months. So i really need to start small.
Suggestions? Experiences?

VPS.net is the way to go, also if you need help managing the VPS Pm me.
http://host2x.com is the best free host ive used. Great hosting, great uptime, and great support.
How small is your budget? Do you require a specific control panel or even one at all? Where are you located or where do you need the data center to be located?
VPS.Net looks really good, a question, is VPS.NET managed or unmanaged?
You can take a look at
www.ovh.com for unmanaged VPS.

We're talking 30-40 tops. It doesn't have to be a specific controlpanel, but there has to be something lol.
Simple said, I must be able to upload my forum, create a database, import my database. Point domain to it and go.
VPS.net looks good, but it's not really clear to me if it's what i need.

This only available to people in the UK
. Or, what ever european country they're a part of.
$30-$40 is more than enough to get a starter VPS.
What kind of forums do you have? legal or illegal?

Legal as far as i can say. It's for breaking news, ufos, fun, general discussion . Take a look for yourself :

http://www.servercomplete.com/
I can recommend them
. They're in your price range even with a control panel
. ($3/m for DirectAdmin and $11/m for cPanel)
