I was wondering if I could allow people to see there is a private forum, but not be able to read the Last Post Title line.

They can't read threads or go in the forum, but they can view the most recent threads title on the forum index.

How would I go about making it say "Private" or something of that sort instead?

Maybe in permissions check can view forum but uncheck can view threads within forum and can view posts within forum?

Yeah in permissions Make View thread and that will show it is Private

It won't say Private on the forum display, I don't think you can have it showing the last post info but not anything else with default permissions.

Yeah it looks like it will show the last post/thread title info no matter what... They can't view the thread or go in the forum, but they can see the last threads title.
