so everything (except email) is working great!
when i was in the admin screen, it said i needed an upgrade from 1.4.8 to 1.4.9. No big deal, i download the patch and let it sit until i have time to upgrade.
in the meantime, i check the plugins to see if any of those are out of date (so they can be upgraded at the same time), and i get this error message:
There was a problem communicating with the mod version server.
i figured i needed the patch to make this work again, and didnt think anything more about it. until today.
i just patched the software, and the patch works fine, saying i now have 1.4.9. But the plugin check still doesnt work; get the same error message.
is something down, or is it me? if it is me, where do i look? it worked fine for months now.

Alot of people reported this and currently, i don't think there is a fix.
yes i also had this problem and I had made a thread also about this problem, was ONLY wondering if this was a bug in 1.4.9 or not ?

Can you guys list how many plugins you have?? Not exact, just an estimate. I think this has to do with the number of plugins, that's the link I'm starting to see.

most of my plugins are safe and work without a glitch from Labroca site ...
this only happened since i have upgraded it to 1.4.9 .... i have not added anything since 1.4.8 so the plugins would not be the situation referring to this problem i am sure.

fyi, i removed 14 plugins, and it still doesnt work.
also, it quit working before i updated to 1.4.9 but after 1.4.9 was released, if that helps.....
