hi! apparently there is the capability for users to create their own groups, as shown here:

however, when i log into the userCP, i cannot find the capatility.
e.g. i go to User Control Panel / Group Memberships but there is no button for the user to create their own groups.

so, does mybb1.4.9 support user-created groups? and if yes, how do i enable this capability??

Users can't create groups, an admin has to, that image shows what groups you can join yourselves (as opposed to an admin having to change your usergroup), what ones you're already in, and if you're a leader of a group, it shows info on that.
