What techniques have you guys found most effective for advertising your forum?
I am having a contest for a wii fit bundle, but am not sure which forums to post about the contest on. Any ideas?
Word of mouth and go directly to the advertisers and asking them if they are interested in advertising on my site.

Yellow pages on line is a great way .craigs list and angies list are great for references. Talk radio both news and sports are hitting the big time..It depends on your demographics that you need to attract.
