This is a very basic script, it uses the default MyBB popup_menu.js script as well as parts of the fade in/out effects of Pirata Nervo's MyShoutbox.js script, which is free. I don't think there should be any issues with this since it's mainly prototype doing the work, but thanks goes out to Pirata for the code 
Anywho, just overwrite your current jscripts/popup_menu.js with the attached file.
