Full Version: Has Anyone Else Noticed The cPanel Cron Bug?

  • I have had this happen recently on >5 cPanel hosts, and lost all the cron jobs *only* one time:
In cPanel (any cPanel hosting account), if you are adding or changing a cron job, then sometimes an alert appears about "the page being redirected." You have the choice to continue or cancel...

Which would you choose? :s
If you choose 'continue' the alert "keeps coming back" (sometimes 6 or seven times), so...
...would you keep choosing 'continue' or switch to 'cancel'?

If you choose 'cancel', then all of your cron jobs are wiped out!
  • If you keep choosing 'continue', then the cron jobs are never lost.

I use cron fairly often...
Who else has ever noticed this?
or x out your browser / kill the process.
This might be related to what I've seen:
The mysterious bug causing cron to fail on CPanel servers seems to have returned...

Might work for people who only use one tab.

Oh well use a dedicated browser for web stuff *I use chrome for basic browsing, and ff for the rest, opera (On the side) for anything that i need fast, and needs addons.
