im sorry to post this, but im a little bit new with this stuff, but can anyone tell me how to chmod config.php and settings.php.. it said something about changing it to 666..

This can generally be done through your FTP client, by right clicking the appropriate files once they have been uploaded, and looking for the CHMOD option.
Alternatively, you may be able to do this through your file manager or control panel, if your host provides one. It's hard to give you any more information though, without knowing the system.
To try and give you an example, below is a screenshot of how to get to the CHMOD settings in SmartFTP.

I know in
FlashFXP you just right click the file and select CHMOD.
