hi there just a quick question is backing up the database on my forum in the admin cp backup the same as backing it up from my cp on my host via the phpmyadmin meaning if i only use the forum backup database

if i have to restore to it to my host for some reason will it work ? or does it have to be backed up from my host via phpmyadmin to be able to restore it

Both will work, there wouldn't be the ability to backup in the ACP if it wouldn't be able to be used The phpMyAdmin backup will be smaller, just because it creates the file slightly differently.
