Are there any plugins out yet for a facebook style chat? I know many were in development about a month ago, but have any been released?
No, but people keep asking and there have been other threads on this subject.
integrate Cometchat yourself but its not easy

The chat software is called CometChat but it only integrates (officially by cometchat) into vBulletin and into JomSocial(i think like facbook)
Its done now. Its in the release section.
