http://www.profifaleagues.net/

Straight away you see my problem Confused. I dont want the address to take me to that directory. I want it to take me to http://www.profifaleagues.net/portal.php. But as i have put all my files into a folder named "forum" it takes me to http://www.profifaleagues.net/forum/portal.php. I tried moving all my files from out of "forum" and into the "public_html" directory but then i can't login to my ACP or forum! Any ideas how i can get it to work in the "public html" so i can type in http://www.profifaleagues.net/ and it will get rid of the /forum/ part and take me to http://www.profifaleagues.net/portal.php.

Any help on this would be great Smile. Thanks.
Update your Board URL setting and cookie settings to remove the forum bit, then use this plugin: http://mods.mybboard.net/view/portal-redirect-v110

I moved all files to the Public_Html and it asks me for a username/password every time i make an action. I cannot change anything on my forum either =|. I'm so confused
I think you need to edit your .inc/settings.php file.

Here is the thread about your problem:

Try this:
(If you have FTP access or something like that, carry on reading.)

If you want it to redirect you from the home directory to the forum folder, I can make you a file which will redirect you to the forum. Just PM me and I'll make it for you.

That's one way to solve it.

Do you know why this happened? It's because all MyBB's MySQL Databases are confused as well! Move it back and follow the instructions above!
Ok all the files are back to the "forum" folder. Now when i visit http://www.profifaleagues.net/forum/ i can't sign in. I cant edit the ACP either because it just doesnt let me edit things as it requires a password and when i type in the login details it doesnt change the newly add settings i just added. Im stuck Sad.
Go to your FTP, navigate to forum/inc/settings.php and edit the cookies there, then save and replace.

IMPORTANT: After go to your Admin CP, click on the configuration tab, General Configuration, and change the cookie settings to what it needs to be BEFORE changing anything else, or it will revert back to the old cookie settings.

If all else fails, you may have to reinstall MyBB.

Remember this.
Ok Aled that worked great now i have http://www.profifaleagues.net/forum running fine. Now i am going back to what i originally wanted. I don't want it to display the /forum bit. It looks tacky. I want it to just say

http://www.profifaleagues.net

http://www.profifaleagues.net/index.php

http://www.profifaleagues.net/portal.php

Stuff like that. Also when i visit http://www.profifaleagues.net it takes me to the directory page where i have to click /forum so it will take me to http://www.profifaleagues.net/forum/. Hope thats not too confusing.
Hmm...

Do you want a redirect file? It will redirect you from http://www.profifaleagues.net to http://www.profifaleagues.net/forum in a second. If you do, PM me for one.
